The Nußbaum was built in 1571. It was built on a strip of land which originally belonged to the Buchsbaum opposite. At the same time the plot for the Apfelbaum was subdivided. The common origin of these houses is expressed in their names. The occupants of the house were largely engaged in everyday occupations. The visitation lists show a clothing business and a food business. Another family was reported as selling beer and rolls. Beer was also sold in other houses, and was a normal drink for the inhabitants of the Judengasse, since it does not violate the Jewish diet laws. In the great fires in the Judengasse in 1711, 1721 and 1796 the house was destroyed three times. It was rebuilt after the first two fires, but after the 1796 fire it was decided to redevelop the entire northern end of the Judengasse on spacious lines, in the course of which the house disappeared finally.
